We've all faced scenarios like that. Hard not to take it personally, but I do sometimes. I try to remember that people are busy living life, and often that life isn't always going well. If they reject me - especially rudely - I read it as a sign that a partnership isn't the right thing to pursue, that a working relationship wouldn't be a good one anyway...
